Standards
The DB Snatch
The Dumbbell will start on the floor before each rep and then finish directly over head. At the bottom of the movement both heads of the Db must touch the floor before pulling to the next rep. The Db must be lifted over head in one motion. If there is a pause in the movement it will be considered a no rep.
Athletes must alternate arms after each rep and may not alternate arms until a successful rep is achieved.
At the top of the rep the arm must be fully locked out over the top of the athletes body. Athlete may not lean against box or wall for balance but may use other arm touching the floor to balance.
.
Plyo Push Up Box Over
Athlete will start facing the box laying chest and thighs touching the ground and finishes with the athlete Plyo push up on and over the box to other side..
On the Plyo Push Up Box over there is no requirement to extend tall but both hands must touch the box on way over, but no other part of the body may touch the box. Both hands must go over the box and not around it. Each rep stats with Chest and thighs touching the ground.
The rep is counted when both Hands land on other side of box.
.
TIE BREAK
If all 200 reps are completed before the time cap, there is no tiebreaker for this workout. If all 200 reps are NOT completed within the 20-minute time cap, your score will be the total number of reps completed, with ties being broken by the time of completion of your last full set of Plyo Push Up Box over. At the end of each set of Plyo Push Up Box overs, time should be marked and recorded for score submission. In the case where two athletes have completed the same number of reps, the athlete with the lower tiebreak time will be ranked higher.
Note: All tiebreak times must be reported in elapsed time, not in time remaining. If you are using a countdown timer, you must convert to elapsed time before reporting your score. For this reason, it is recommended you set your clock to count up.
NOTES:
This workout is done completely out of chair and with out any device like a wall or a box to help stabilize. Athlete may use opposite hand to help balance but can not lean against anything . 17.1 begins with the dumbbell resting on the floor and the athlete sitting tall. At the call of “3, 2, 1… go!” the athlete will reach down and begin the dumbbell snatches, alternating arms after each repetition. Once all reps are complete, they will move to the box and perform 15 Plyo Push Up Box overs, then move back to the snatch, etc. In each round the number of repetitions of the snatch will increase. This workout ends when the hands land on the ground on the other side of the box on the final rep.
Every second counts in this workout. The athlete’s score will be the time it takes to complete all 200 repetitions. Time will be recorded in full seconds. Do not round up. If the athlete finishes in 10:32.7, their score is 10:32. There is a 20-minute time cap. If they do not finish all 200 reps before the time cap, their score will be the number of reps completed
